I have been teaching since 2013 and have worked with students from TK to adults. I have worked in a variety of settings, including full inclusion, resource, non-public, charter, and independent study settings. I also come to special education having had personal experience with siblings who have had IEPs. I am currently a caregiver for my adult sister with a TBI. I support my mom in navigating my brother, who has autism/ADHD/Dyslexia, as well as navigating my own daughter’s ADHD/Dysgraphia/SPD needs.
I attended Mills College for my undergraduate degree in Pre-Law, and then I received my master's in Special Education from Loyola Marymount. I also have been GLAD, Wilson's, and Orton-Gillingham trained. I earned my reading specialist-added authorization from UC San Diego. I took a course to add moderate disabilities to my credentials. I completed my IMSE Dyslexia Practicum in 2025 and am currently being EBLI-trained.
In my spare time, I teach teacher credentialing courses and am an Induction coach for new special education teachers. Outside of teaching you will find me having daily dance parties with my 9-year-old, listening to true crime podcasts, and doing home workouts and walking.
